The Empowerment Movement (EM) Youth Leadership Project is currently accepting membership applications for the 2012/2013 school year. EM is a volunteer program of the Domestic Violence Center that promotes?healthy relationships and peaceable living. EM team members serve as outreach specialists, educating their peers and encouraging personal and community safety. Often called ambassadors, EM members help conduct workshops, create videos, and use social media to spread messages of hope and strength.
Open to boys and girls, ages 14 to 18, participants learn about dating violence, internet safety, sexual assault prevention, and healthy relationships.
